Pre-planning Advisor - Permanent Full-time

 

Location: Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Toronto

 

The Successful Candidate Will be Required to:

  • Sell products and services to individuals/families on a pre-need basis at their homes or at our locations;
  • Develop and maintain a list of contacts through outbound prospecting, networking and referral follow-up;
  • Maintain records and compile reports according to standard procedures;
  • Perform other sundry tasks as assigned.

 

Days and Hours of Work:

  • 37.5 hours per week, including evenings and weekends.

 

Qualifications:

  • Proven sales and time management skills;
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills;
  • A strong commitment to customer service;
  • Working knowledge of Windows and MS Office;
  • A valid Ontario “G” driver’s license and a well-kept late model car are required (mileage will be paid) as well as a clean driver’s abstract;
  • Flexibility to work at various locations in the Greater Toronto Area is necessary;
  • Working knowledge of the death care industry in a pre-planning role would be considered an asset.

Service Clerk - Permanent Part-time

 

Location:  Elgin Mills Cemetery, Richmond Hill

 

The Successful Candidate Will be Required to:

  • Process arrangements; create documents, receipts, invoices, etc.;
  • Create and process Purchase Orders;
  • Receiving and tracking of memorial orders, including dealer approvals;
  • Take memorial pictures, scan and index;
  • Reconcile and prepare daily bank deposits and various reports when required;
  • Scan, index cemetery documents as required;
  • Attend graveside interments of cremated remains when required;
  • Relieve Reception when required;
  • Perform other sundry duties as assigned.

Days and Hours of Work:

  • Friday, Saturday, Monday;
  • 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (22.5 hours per week);
  • Additional hours as business needs dictate.

 

Qualifications:

  • Commitment to detail and accuracy;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Ability to multi-task in a busy office environment;
  • Team player;
  • Experience working with MS Office in Windows environment as well as standard office equipment.

Union Position – Full-Time Mechanic


Location: 
Equipment Maintenance Shop

The successful candidate will be required to:

  • Repair equipment and machinery including small engines, landscaping equipment, light trucks, backhoes, gas and diesel powered vehicles
  • Perform services on electrical, hydraulic, power train, suspension and brakes
  • Perform computer connection/diagnosis with scan tool machine to identify fault codes
  • Perform annual certifications on company vehicles
  • Travel between various sites within the GTA for service calls (company vehicle provided)
  • Perform other sundry duties as required

Hours of work:

  • 8:00a.m. to 4:30p.m. (40 hours per week)

Days of work:

  • Monday to Friday

Qualifications:

  • Valid Ontario Mechanic’s Licence 310S Certification; in addition, 310T is an asset
  • Valid Ontario “G” Driver’s Licence and satisfactory Driver’s Abstract
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience working in the automotive field with the ability to work with a range of vehicles and equipment
  • Must be familiar with the Ontario Health & Safety Act, Highway Traffic Act, and other applicable legislation and industry standards
  • Able to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing
  • Basic computer skills: able to use internet
  • Must be willing to learn, or have experience with, welding and fabrication

Hourly Rate:

  • As per the Collective Agreement.
